Cogeninfra sponsors the 15th edition of Nordic Walking Valtellina
8 June 2024 – Tirano
On 8 June, the town of Tirano hosted the first stage of the Nordic Walking World Cup, attracting 250 athletes from 15 countries. The athletes competed on three courses of 5, 10 and 21 kilometres, as well as a team relay and an amateur race on a 5-kilometre course.
The Walking Village, located at the Bocciodromo in Tirano, was the hub of the event, welcoming numerous visitors and enthusiasts. Cogeninfra actively participated with its own stand, promoting the company’s presence in the area. Among those present, in addition to colleagues from Cogeninfra, was the Director of Business Development for the district heating sector, Geom. Manuele Bombardieri, who expressed his satisfaction with the event, congratulating Mario Chiapparini on the perfect organisation and thanking him for the opportunity to be among the local sponsors of this important sporting event.
‘Congratulations to Mr Chiapparini for the perfect organisation and for the opportunity to be among the local sponsors of this important sporting event in our Valtellina area,’ said Mr Bombardieri.
Heartfelt thanks were also extended to all colleagues who attended the Cogeninfra stand, distributing gadgets and contributing to the success of the event.
One of the most appreciated new features of this edition was the 5 km amateur race, open to all, which allowed even beginners to immerse themselves in the sporting spirit of the event. This initiative helped to make the event even more inclusive and participatory, bringing a wider audience closer to the practice of Nordic Walking.
Cogeninfra reiterated its pride in supporting Walking Valtellina, an event that combines sport and the promotion of the area.
