Tirano
The Tirano district heating plant has been supplying heat since 2000 and has a total connected capacity of 61 MW with a pipeline network stretching 33 km. For thermal power generation, the following are in operation : 1 8 MW and 2 6 MW biomass boilers and one x1.1 MW electric ORC co-generator. From 2012 to 2017, 3 mains-pressure 130 cu m tanks and in 2023 700 cubic metre atmospheric pressure tanks were put in.
