Erzelli
The Erzelli district heating plant has been providing heat and cooling since 2012 to the Parco Scientifico Tecnologico di Genova Erzelli [Genoa Erzelli Science and Technology Park], a 400,000-square-metre hub on the hill of the same name in Genoa. To date, it has a total connected capacity of 4.8 MW for district heating use and 5.7 MW for district cooling use with a pipeline network extending 2.1 km. For thermal power generation, the following are in operation : 2 natural gas heat generators with a firebox capacity of 4.6 MW each, 1 Jenbacher endothermic engine of 1063 kW electric and 1219 kW thermal, 1 Trane Chiller of 2 Mw thermal, 1 Daikin Chiller of 7.0 MW for a total of about 10.2 MW hot thermal power, 9 MW cold thermal power, and 1.2 MW electric power.
