The Assisi district heating plant has been providing heat since 2008 and has gradually increased the number of customers reaching today a total connected capacity of 23.13 MW. For the production of thermal energy, 4 natural gas boilers with a thermal capacity are in operation of 1,300 kW –1,900 kW –3,200 kW and 7,700 kW. The following are also present :2 MTU endothermic engines of 1,162 kW (electric) and 1,472 kW (thermal) each and 1 Jenbacher engine of 4,404 kW (electric) and 4,209 kW (thermal).
